Pedestrian in hospital with life-threatening injuries after crash in Hastings

Police want to hear from witnesses.

A pedestrian in his 40s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision in Hastings.

The crash between the man and a car happened on Bohemia Road at around 5.05pm on Sunday, 18th January.

A section of the road was closed while police carried out enquiries.

Police confirmed they arrested a 72-year-old man, from Hastings, on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He is currently in custody.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage to come forward.
