Man charged after stabbing in Littlehampton
He's due back in court in August
Police are seeking witnesses after a stabbing incident in Littlehampton’s High Street on Saturday, 18th July.
A 51-year-old woman was assaulted at the address, sustaining an injury to her face before leaving the property for Howard Place.
She was followed and the suspect threatened others with a bladed weapon.
During the altercation, a 32-year-old man was stabbed and taken to hospital for treatment.
Following police enquiries, Oliver Lewis, 24, was arrested in Greenfields, Wick, Littlehampton.
On Sunday, 19th July, Lewis was charged with several offences, including wounding with intent and threatening a person in a public place.
He appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20th July and was remanded into custody.
Lewis is scheduled to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 17th August.
Police continue to investigate the incident and urge anyone with information or footage to come forward.
