A man has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Marine Parade, Brighton, this morning (July 2nd).

Sussex Police said officers were called shortly before 9.30am after a report of a man carrying a knife in the area.

A 31-year-old man from Upper Norwood, London, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody, where he remains.

The police confirmed that a 37-year-old man from Brighton was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be connected to the incident.

He has since been discharged.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "We are aware of a report of a stabbing nearby, and the incident is being treated as linked."
