Pilot injured after light-aircraft crash near Billingshurst
Emergency crews were called to the scene after the aircraft landed

A pilot has been hospitalised after a light aircraft crash in West Sussex.
Emergency services responded to the incident shortly before 6pm on 10th August in Adversane, south of Billinghurst.
Sussex Police confirmed that the pilot sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
In response to the crash, West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service dispatched two fire engines, a heavy rescue tender, and an off-road vehicle to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the light aircraft upside down in a field.
The pilot had managed to extricate himself before their arrival, and crews made the area safe.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said:
“Yesterday at 5.32pm we were called to a light aircraft incident in Stane Street, Adversane.
“Joint Fire Control mobilised two fire engines, a heavy rescue tender, and an off-road vehicle to the scene.
“Upon arrival crews found a light aircraft upside down in a field. Fortunately, the pilot self-extricated before our arrival and firefighters made the scene safe.
“Sussex Police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
“Crews left the scene at 7.12pm.”
