Police release CCTV of witness sought in St Leonards double murder investigation
Detectives investigating the deaths of a 66-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman in St Leonards have released CCTV images of a man they believe could help their investigation
Detectives investigating the deaths of two people in St Leonards have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to as a witness.
Police say the man may have information that could assist their investigation and are urging him, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward. Officers have stressed he is being sought solely as a witness and that they are not looking for any further suspects.
The appeal comes as the investigation into the deaths of Adrian Horton, 66, and Uschi Schild, 46, continues.
Two people found dead at St Leonards address
Police were called to an address in Seven Acre Close shortly after 4.30am on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, following reports that a man and a woman had been injured.
Officers found the bodies of Mr Horton, 66, and Ms Schild, 46, inside the property.
Sean Gray, 58, of no fixed address, was arrested at a property in Battle Road shortly afterwards. He has since been charged with murder.
Detectives say investigation continues
Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera said: "Our investigation continues at pace, and we are keen to speak with this man as we believe he may have information that could assist our enquiries.
"I want to stress that he is being sought as a witness and we are not looking for further suspects.
"If you recognise him, or if you are the person shown in the CCTV image, please contact police as soon as possible."
