Man in hospital after setting himself on fire in St Leonards

Police and emergency services responded to a serious incident involving a man in St Leonards-on-Sea this afternoon (27th February)

At around 12.30 pm, officers were called to address concerns for the welfare of a man on London Road.

Upon arrival, they found the man in the street, where he set himself alight.

Emergency teams quickly extinguished the flames, and the man was transported to hospital for treatment.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the situation.
