The exhibition, called 'Henry Moore & more', also features new artworks by contemporary artists inspired by nature and the environment.

Henry Moore is one of Britain’s best-known sculptors. His large bronze works are often inspired by natural shapes, landscapes and the human body, and are designed to be viewed outdoors.

At Wakehurst, the sculptures are placed around the gardens so visitors can come across them while exploring woodlands, lawns and open spaces.

The exhibition has been created in partnership with the Henry Moore Foundation and the Henry Moore Institute. It aims to highlight the connection between art and the natural world, as well as ideas about caring for the environment.

Alongside Moore’s work, the new artworks focus on themes such as nature, conservation and protecting wildlife.

Wakehurst, which is also home to the Millennium Seed Bank, says the exhibition links in with its wider work on plant conservation and protecting biodiversity.

'Henry Moore & more' is now open and will remain at Wakehurst until May 2027.
