27-year-old man seriously injured after Hailsham collision

Police are appealing for information after a serious three-vehicle crash

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on the A267 near Hailsham.

Emergency services were called to North Street shortly after 1pm on Sunday, 11 May.

The crash is believed to have involved three vehicles: a silver Land Rover Discovery, a green Land Rover Discovery, and a Mercedes.

The incident occurred between the junctions with the B2104 and Church Lane.

A 27-year-old man from Hellingly sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. His condition has not been disclosed.

A 28-year-old man from Hailsham was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers from Sussex Police are continuing to investigate and are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam footage from the area at the time, to get in touch.
