St Leonards woman charged with drug and human trafficking offences
25-year-old Clara Foxwell will appear in court next month.
A St Leonards woman has been charged with drug and human trafficking offences.
On the 2nd of February, police received information regarding the suspected exploitation of two children linked to a woman in the town.
Following an investigation by officers, a warrant was executed at an address in Silverlands Road on Tuesday 3rd of March where a woman was arrested .
The next day, Cara Foxwell, 25, of Silverlands Road, St Leonards was charged with possession of a controlled class B drug and committing an offence other than kidnapping or false imprisonment with intent to commit human trafficking.
Later the same day, she appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court and was remanded into custody until her next court appearance on the 1st of April.
Police and partner agencies have put safeguarding measures in place for both children.
