38-year-old charged with raping 17-year-old boy in St Leonards
Man remanded in custody following court hearing
Glen Hodgins, a 38-year-old man from Chapel Park Road in St Leonards, has been charged with the rape and attempted rape of a 17-year-old boy.
The incident reportedly occurred at around midnight on 30th January at a location in the town.
Police received the report and, after launching an investigation, arrested Hodgins on 2nd February.
Following his appearance at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 4th February, Hodgins was remanded into custody pending his next court appearance on 4th March.
Detective Inspector Carol Shoesmith thanked the public for their support in sharing appeals related to the investigation and emphasised the strength it takes for victims to report such offences.
The victim is receiving specialist support as the case continues to progress.
