Seaford woman dies 11 days after crash as man arrested

A 59-year-old woman from Seaford has died 11 days after she was injured in a crash.

Pamela Chadwick was driving a grey Suzuki Vitara which collided with a silver Kia Venga on the A26 at Beddingham around 11.24pm on Saturday 18 July.

Her next of kin have received specialist support from officers, who are now seeking witnesses to the incident.

The Kia driver, a 39-year-old man from Dover, sustained serious injuries and has since been discharged from hospital.

He has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed until 30 October, pending further enquiries.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or may have relevant mobile, dash cam, or CCTV footage to come forward.
