Mukhtar Abdullahi, a 22-year-old drug dealer, has been sentenced to three years and eight months in prison following his attempt to flee from law enforcement through a window at a property in Horsham.

Linked to the "Kodak" drug line, Abdullahi was detained after officers discovered cocaine, heroin, and cannabis inside the property associated with suspected drug activities.

The incident occurred on 22nd October last year on Swallowtail Road, where officers successfully apprehended Abdullahi, preventing his attempted escape from a first-floor window.

Appearing at Lewes Crown Court on 17th April, Abdullahi, who has no fixed address, admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, heroin, and cannabis. This admission resulted in his custodial sentence.

Detective Constable Neil Winter from the Community Investigations Team reflected on the outcome, saying: "Abdullahi thought he could get away out of a window of a property which was linked to the Kodak drugs dealing line. But officers prevented his escape and following a thorough investigation, he pleaded guilty in court."

Expressing satisfaction with the sentencing, Winter highlighted their commitment to tackling drug-related crime: "We are pleased Abdullahi is now serving a custodial sentence, it demonstrates our determination to disrupt the supply of drugs that cause so much harm for our community in Horsham."
