How could Crawley Town be relegated?
The Reds face their final battle to stop drop from League 2 today
Crawley Town could drop down from League Two today.
The Reds sit 22nd in the table as they host Salford City at Broadfield, who are fourth and are battling for automatic promotion.
The West Sussex team is one of five sides looking to dodge the drop to the National League on the final day.
With bottom of the league Barrow effectively down, Crawley's odds are more promising - but there's a few factors at play.
What could get Crawley relegated?
Sitting just below Crawley on the table is Harrogate Town.
A win or a draw for Harrogate combined with a Crawley loss would be the easiest way for them to go down.
Although Crawley sit one point below both Newport and Tranmere, their superior goal difference means a draw could see the reds leapfrog both of those sides.
This means that if Crawley were to draw against Salford, the only way they could go down is if Tranmere and Newport were to both pick up at least a point AND Harrogate were to win their game.
As Crawley have a significant goal difference advantage compared to Harrogate, a win for the Reds would effectively guarantee safety as the Yorkshire side would be unable to overtake them.
Club drums up support
