Chemical incident in Crawley leads to hospitalisation and arrest
Man injured and woman arrested in Southgate address
Emergency services responded to a chemical incident at a property in Fletcher Close, Southgate, Crawley in the early hours of this morning (13th September 2026).
It happened at approximately 5:10 am, resulting in a 40-year-old man being taken to hospital for treatment of injuries.
A 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
Authorities say there is no wider risk to the public, but a police cordon remains in place.
A temporary road closure was enforced at Fletcher Close while emergency services attended the scene.
