82-year-old injured in car theft in Hove
Police are searching for a red Honda Jazz following the theft and assault
Police are investigating after an 82-year-old woman was injured in a car theft in Hove on Monday, 12th January.
Emergency services were called to Blatchington Road at around 5.30 pm following reports that the woman had been assaulted by a man who stole her car.
She is currently being treated by the ambulance service for a serious leg injury.
The stolen vehicle—a red Honda Jazz with the registration DU56 VCE—was reportedly driven eastbound along Blatchington Road after the incident.
The road has since reopened, but police are conducting an extensive search for the vehicle and suspect. Officers have been carrying out enquiries at local businesses and properties as part of the investigation.
