British couple Lindsay and Craig Foreman have ended their hunger strikes after being detained for over 18 months in Tehran's Evin Prison.

Their hunger strikes lasted 93 days for Craig and 84 days for Lindsay, protesting their treatment and unjust charges faced by them and fellow prisoners.

In a move to highlight broader values, Lindsay and Craig concluded their hunger strikes by initiating a global "Fast for Good."

This five-day fast, running from Tuesday to Saturday, focused on universal themes such as truth, justice, kindness, peace, and unity.

Supporters worldwide participated in the fast, reflecting on these values alongside prisoners in Evin.

Joe Bennett, Lindsay's relative, said, “My mum and Craig have spent months on hunger strike, and even at the point of bringing it to an end they wanted to make it about something bigger than themselves.”

Detained since January 2025, Lindsay and Craig from Sussex, face espionage charges, which they deny.

Formal applications with the United Nations have been submitted, pressing for broader recognition and intervention in the couple’s case.

“Sunday was the first time in three months my mum and Craig sat down to eat,” said Joe. “I will not rest until they can do it at home, with us.”
