Woman charged for Brighton assault and robbery
She assaulted a man at a cashpoint in the city
A woman has been remanded following a robbery in St James's Street, Brighton.
On the evening of October 27, a man in his 30s was using a cashpoint in St James’s Street, Brighton, when he was reportedly approached and assaulted by a woman.
She is then reported to have knocked him to the ground and stolen his bank card before fleeing the area.
The card was subsequently used fraudulently on three occasions following the incident.
On October 30, 30-year-old Aji Sinera, was arrested in connection with enquiries around the robbery.
Later that same evening she was charged with three counts of fraud by false representation, and with robbery.
She appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 31 to answer charges, and was remanded into custody.
On November 28, she is due to reappear for her next hearing at Lewes Crown Court.
