Brighton and Hove Albion players are backing calls for more of us to learn CPR - after being taught the skill themselves.

It's after a special session from the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance at the AMEX, which showed players Danny Wellbeck, Jan Paul van Hecke, Marisa Olislagers and Rachel Mclauchlan how to perform chest compressions and use a defibrillator.

Joining them in the sessions were Toploader drummer Rob Green, as well as Royal Blood's drummer Ben Thatcher.

It comes as the charity reveals around twenty five people across the South East have a cardiac arrest each day, with acting fast crucial to save a life.

Danny Wellbeck told Greatest Hits Radio:

"I feel a lot more confident. I think it's all about education, to get a bit more knowledge and see what you have to do.

"t's a lot easier than you think, and a lot more straight forward, so I think everybody should have a look into learning it."

It comes ahead of Restart a Heart Day on 16th of October.
