Brighton's Park and Ride is back up and running from today.

Visitors can hop onto Brighton & Hove Buses' number 25 bus route, which directly connects to the city centre after parking up at the University of Sussex's Falmer Campus.

Buses will run every 12 minutes during 9am and 9pm on select weekends and bank holiday Monday.

Councillor Trevor Muten, Cabinet member for Transport and City Infrastructure, said: “After a successful trial last year, I’m pleased we can once again offer a Park & Ride service for visitors to the city.

“We’re really proud that Brighton & Hove is one of the country’s most popular summer destinations and it has so much to offer.

"Our Park & Ride service gives visitors a simple way to park outside the centre and travel into Brighton for the seafront, shops, restaurants and everything that makes the city the place people want to be.

“Using the well-established 25 bus route means people are better connected not only to the attractions, but also to other local bus routes for onward journeys.

“This is about making busy summer days work better for everyone.

"Visitors can get into the city easily without worrying about parking, it brings more people into the city to support local businesses, reduces emissions and it helps reduce pressure on city-centre parking and local roads for residents.”

What dates will the service operate?

The summer Park & Ride service will run on the following weekend and bank holiday dates:

Saturday 25 July

Sunday 26 July

Sunday 2 August

Sunday 9 August

Sunday 16 August

Saturday 22 August
