Brighton man charged with stalking and weapon offences

It's after a woman reported receiving messages threatening her with serious violence and to burn down her home

A Brighton man has been charged with stalking and weapons offences after a woman was threatened with violence and arson.

33 year old Desi Hayward, of Falmer Road, is accused of sending repeated threatening messages at the start of the year.

He was further arrested on two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place after two bladed weapons were found in a property linked to him.

Hayward has been charged with all three offences and remanded in custody, to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 9 March.
