Man charged with multiple burglaries at Brighton hotel

He is accused of stealing cash and jewellery

A man has been charged with a series of burglaries at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.

Phillip Brown, 59, from Dawson Close, London, is accused of stealing cash and jewellery valued at £1,250 from two hotel rooms.

He is also accused of breaking into a third room with intent to steal and attempting to enter a fourth room with intent to steal.

The alleged burglaries occurred on 23rd June.

On the same day, Brown is accused of using a bank card fraudulently to buy cigarettes and alcohol in Station Way, Brighton.

He is set to appear at South East London Magistrates’ Court on 21st July, having been bailed with conditions.
