The heartbroken mum of a Bexhill woman who died after taking a drug cocktail sold as cocaine is urging partygoers not to take the risk.

36-year-old Rebecca Turner was found alongside her boyfriend in their hotel room in Bangkok with nine substances in her body.

She had been visiting Thailand to celebrate a friend's wedding in March last year.

In tears, her mum Anita told Greatest Hits Radio that she "can't believe Rebecca's gone":

"I think about all the time. I wake up crying.

"I just break down every day behind closed doors, but sometimes not behind closed doors.

"I try and put on a brave face sometimes when I'm out, but it's so hard."

Rebecca had flown out to celebrate a friend's wedding

Anita explains that she has since seen the drug packet that Rebecca took, and that while it looked like cocaine, it contained painkillers such as codeine and opioids included in heroin.

Since, she has shared Rebecca's story in hopes she can save the life of somebody else's child.

"I want to go out to and say please, please, whatever you do, whatever you do, please do not take any drug anyone offers you, because I've just lost my daughter through the same thing.

"She was just partying and took something somebody gave her and didn't wake up.

If I can save one person from taking anything out there, I'm happy. "

An inquest is set to take place into Rebecca's death, although a date has not yet been set.
