Three arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Bognor Regis
Police are investigating an assault at a flat on Linden Road
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a serious assault of a man in Bognor Regis.
Police received a call from the ambulance service at around 3.15pm on Sunday, 12th July. They attended to a flat on Linden Road, where a 44-year-old man from the town was reported to have been seriously assaulted.
The victim sustained significant head and facial injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
Two men, aged 43 and 62, from Bognor Regis and a 44-year-old woman without a fixed address have been detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
While the men remain in custody, the woman has been released on bail as investigations continue.
Authorities have described the incident as isolated, stressing that the individuals involved are known to each other and there is no threat to the wider community.
Officers will maintain a visible presence in the area as the investigation proceeds.
