The Woking and Sam Beare hospice are hosting their exhibition titled 'Inspiration for Life' at the Lightbox in Woking

The exhibition is on until 22 February and is free to enter and features donated art from around 40 different artists.

The exhibition features art from both professionals and amateurs, including one 12-year-old artist.

The art is on sale from between £25 and £850, with all proceeds going to supporting the hospice

Felicity Edwards is the events manager at the hospice

"And the art comes in all different forms, different media, different sizes, different prices. But one thing they've all got in common is if you buy one, then it will be helping the hospice. All the funds will go to the hospice, all the proceeds.

Many of the artists do though have very personal reasons for wanting to get involved and the theme of the exhibition is inspiration for life and some people have taken that very sort of literally

If you read some of the stories behind different pieces of art, then that's some of those are really quite, quite touching. But I think there's there's messages there for everybody"

Felicity adds that it's important for the hospice to keep up their community links

"Sadly, many of us out out there in the whole of northwest Surrey may have need of a Hospice at some time and many, many people have already been touched by it.

And anyone that has been involved with the hospice in any way knows that the work that we do is absolutely essential to patients and not just the patients themselves, but their families too"

It's the third year of the exhibition, and Felicity told us that the quality and quantity of art is improving each year.

On the first night of the exhibition, they sold around £1,500 worth of art, which Felicity described as 'not a bad start'
