Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged racially aggravated assault that occurred in Leatherhead on Friday 26 June.
The incident is reported to have happened at around 1pm near the bridge and mini-roundabout at the junction of Guildford Road, Minchin Close, and Bridge Street.
Officers report that a man was subjected to racist abuse before being punched in the face during an altercation.
The victim suffered significant injuries.
Investigators are particularly interested in identifying three white men, all thought to be in their early 30s, who were seen walking away from the bridge in the direction of Leatherhead town centre shortly after the incident. They may hold important information that could assist the inquiry.
Authorities are also appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the event to come forward.
