An investigation is underway after a teenager girl was grabbed by a man in Walton.

Surrey Police say the incident happened at around 11am on Tuesday the 22nd of April on Hersham Road.

The man tried to forcibly make the girl go with him but she was able to get away safely.

The suspect is described as a White man in his 40s, around 5’ 9” tall and with blonde hair.

Surrey Police say two other suspicious incidents involving a man approaching teenage girls in the Walton area and asking them inappropriate questions, have also been reported in the last two weeks, but they don't currently believe them to be related.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We appreciate this may cause concern to the local community, but please be reassured that we are conducting a thorough investigation, including CCTV enquiries, house to house and increased patrols."

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
