Surrey Police appealing for information after body found in Thames

We are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man recovered from the River Thames earlier this month.

Officers were called to Penton Hook Lock at 8.54am on Thursday, 12 December following a report of a body in the water. The body of a man in his 40s was later recovered by Surrey Fire & Rescue Service.

Despite extensive enquiries they have been unable to identify the man or trace his next of kin, and we are now asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The man is described as a bald White man in his 40s, about six foot in height, wearing a blue top, black tracksuit trousers, and blue trainers with a red trim and white soles.
