Lingfield Fire Station in Surrey has reopened following a major redevelopment, upgrading its facilities to better serve the community.

The station, located in the south-east of Surrey, has been modernised to include a range of sustainable improvements that enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Chair of Surrey County Council, Tim Hall, together with Chief Fire Officer, Dan Quin, oversaw the ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the reopening.

The redevelopment brought several key enhancements:

The upgraded fire station includes enhanced facilities for managing operational contaminants and hygiene.

A new gym has been installed to help crew members maintain fitness.

A dedicated community space has been added for engaging with local residents and partners.

The station now has a second fire and rescue vehicle bay, accommodating additional vehicles.

This project is part of Surrey County Council's ongoing investment programme across Surrey Fire and Rescue Service sites, aiming to uplift standards and boost community safety.

Chief Fire Officer Dan Quin expressed gratitude to the teams involved in the redevelopment, commending the complex work behind the upgrade.

During the station's redevelopment, fire crews were temporarily relocated to Oxted Fire Station, maintaining their commitment to community support.
