Man charged with multiple offences after Surrey arson investigation

Counter Terrorism Policing South East leads inquiry following incidents in Ottershaw.

A man has been charged with several offences following an investigation into suspected arson in Ottershaw, Surrey.

Milo Creese, 39, of Murray Road, Ottershaw, appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on 22nd December, where he faced the following charges:

  • Two counts of arson
  • One count of arson with intent or recklessness as to life being endangered
  • One count of criminal damage
  • One count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
  • Two counts of common assault or battery against an emergency worker

Creese has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 16th January to face the charges.

The offences relate to several reports of suspected arson incidents in the Ottershaw area between 31st October and 21st November.

Counter Terrorism Policing South East has been leading the investigation. No further details about the incidents or the investigation have been released at this stage.
