Man racially abused and spat at in Stanwell

Surrey Police are looking for witnesses to an incident in which a man was racially abused and spat at in Stanwell.

The alleged incident occurred on Monday, 11th May at around midday at the Tesco petrol station in Stanwell.

Following a verbal disagreement, the suspect reportedly subjected the victim to racial abuse before spitting at him.

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and common assault.

He is currently out on bail as investigations continue.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant footage, including CCTV, mobile phone, dashcam, or helmet cam footage, is encouraged to come forward.
