An investigation is underway following a series of indecent exposure incidents on Esher Common.

Surrey Police say offences took place on the 7th, 11th and 19th of May in the area around West End Common, Black Pond and the bridge over the A3 which joins Esher Common to Oxshott Common.

The times have varied but incidents have been reported at around midday and shortly before 6.30pm.

The suspect has been consistently described as a white man believed to be in his 30s to 50s and around six feet tall.

A fourth offence was reported to police on 12 November 2025, and an appeal was made for witnesses at the time.

Inspector Chris Thoday, Borough Commander for Elmbridge, said the foce understands that crimes like this cause significant concern:

“I want to reassure the local community that we take all reports of sexual offences seriously. Officers have been conducting additional patrols in this area since the reports began earlier this month and will be continuing over the bank holiday weekend.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we ask that if you have any information that may assist our investigation, including mobile phone, dashcam, or helmet cam footage, please get in touch quoting PR/45260054905

“Any information, no matter how small, can be significant, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. I would also like to encourage people to report any suspicious or concerning behaviour to police, especially where you have been the victim of an indecent exposure.”
