A man has been arrested after a four vehicle crash on the A23 left seven hospitalised in Redhill, Surrey.
One woman in her 80s was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.
The crash involved three cars and a lorry.
A 25-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
A Reigate and Banstead Beat police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the A23 Horley Road yesterday (9th August) at around 8:30am following a collision between the drivers of four vehicles.
"We are looking to speak to anyone who might have witnessed this collision, or anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or helmet-cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.
