Man jailed after threatening to kill and assault woman in Camberley
Susil Pun, 22 has been sentenced for stalking and harassment offences
A 22-year-old man has been jailed for six years for threatening to kill a woman he was obsessed with and sending threatening messages to her family.
Susil Pun, from Camberley, was reported missing by his family in July 2025, which led police to discover alarming messages on his phone aimed at a woman from his college yearbook, whom he believed he was in a fictional relationship with.
Pun and the woman were in the same year at college, but she was unaware of his obsession until police made contact.
At Guildford Crown Court on 30th June, Pun was convicted of stalking involving fear of violence and harassment, following guilty pleas.
Pun also received a two-year Stalking Protection Order to remain in place upon his release and was charged a £228 victim surcharge.
Investigating officer DC Quinn Parry described Pun's behaviour as "fixated, obsessive, unwanted, and repeated," underlying the seriousness of the threats he posed.
The victim’s father expressed the emotional impact of the ordeal on his daughter, noting how it had affected her independence and trust.
