Pride in Surrey postponed until 2027 due to rising costs
Organises say rising costs and a decline in pledged corporate sponsorship have placed them in a challenging position
The annual Pride in Surrey event, initially scheduled for 8th August this year in Guildford, has been postponed until 2027.
Organisers have cited increased costs and a reduction in promised corporate sponsorship as the reasons behind the delay.
The Pride event is one of many across the country facing cancellations this year.
Despite efforts to explore alternative funding and dates for 2026, the organisers found these options unfeasible.
Preparations for the 2027 event will commence shortly, according to Pride in Surrey organisers.
The Pride in Surrey team expressed gratitude towards their partners and supporters and assured that all purchased tickets have been refunded through OutSavvy.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Pride in Surrey in 2027,” the team said.
