Police appeal following serious Aldershot collision between car and cyclist

The cyclist remains in hospital, while the driver has been arrested on suspicion of serious injury by careless driving

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision between a car and a cyclist in Aldershot.

Officers were called to reports of a collision on Cranmore Lane roundabout with the A325 Farnborough Road at 5.21pm on Tuesday 3rd February.

It's after a black Mitsubishi was in collision with a cyclist. The cyclist, a man in his 60s, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 66-year-old man from Farnham, was arrested on suspicion of serious injury by careless driving, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, and failing to provide a field impairment test.

He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
