Surrey mum Bex Grace has written a children's book titled 'The Hospital Stay with Frimley Health' with the aim to help children cope with stays at hospital.

The book was written in partnership with the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, with all profits going to the Frimley Health Charity.

All illustrations from the book are inspired from real scenes at the hospital, the book itself was written with input from Frimley Park Hospital's paediatric team.

Bex says the book takes you through a journey of what a stay in the hospital will look like.

"They imagine what what it's going to look like, who they're going to meet, how they're going to feel so they can almost really do a practice run."

She added that she hopes the book can provide reassurance as well as to help establish a bond between children and staff.

Bex and both of her children were born at the hospital, as well as this Bex was once an inpatient at the hospital.

She says that during that time she felt anxious and nervous, and felt that having a book to explain everything would have been really helpful.

The book is available to buy on the Frimley Health Charity website.
