Men charged with burglary offences after protest at asylum hotel
The seven men have been released on police bail

Seven men have been charged with burglary offences following a protest at a hotel housing asylum seekers in Stanwell last year.
The men, five of whom are from Stanwell, were charged with burglary of a dwelling with intent to cause damage following protests which took place at the Stanwell Hotel on Town Lane on the 31st of July:
- 38 year old Wayne Adams from Stanwell
- 40 year old Mark Osbourne from Stanwell
- 36 year old Mark Evans from Stanwell
- 45 year old Rory Landridge from Feltham
- 29 year old Stuart Malloy of Stanwell
- 49 year old John Austin of no fixed address
- 42 year old Royan Collier of Stanwell was also charged with racially aggravated public order offence and use of threatening or abusive language or behaviour to cause harassment or distress.
Spelthorne Borough Commander Inspector, Matt Walton said: "We respect the public’s right to safe, lawful protest and will facilitate this where we can.
"However, if any criminal acts or disorder are reported or suspected by officers during a protest, then we will respond robustly, and a thorough investigation will take place."
The men have been released on bail and are due to appear at Staines Magistrates’ Court on the 1st of May.
