Man dies after being hit by car in Box Hill
Teenager arrested as police appeal for witnesses and footage
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Box Hill last night.
Officers were called to Boxhill Road shortly after 8pm on Sunday 14 December, after reports of a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The road remains closed while police carry out enquiries and motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has CCTV, dashcam or helmet-cam footage from the area at the time, is asked to contact police.
