A man's been detained under the mental health act after a series of incidents at Horley.

Police were called out to reports someone in just their boxer shorts was jumping in and out of a pond at Riverside at 9.40 on Sunday morning (18 January).

A woman was then assaulted at Costa Coffee, she was treated in hospital.

Officers say a 42 year old man - from outside the area - was arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm.

Any witnesses to what happened are being asked to contact Surrey Police.
