Man charged after man stabbed in the head and arm in Aldershot

A man has been charged following a serious assault in Aldershot.

Hampshire Police say they were called out on Sunday afternoon (4 May) to reports of an altercation on Victoria Road, involving a man with a knife. It was also reported a man had been stabbed on Heathland Street.

When officers arrived a man in his 40s was found with stab wounds to his head and arm outside Cineworld.

45 year old Paul Gower of St Michael's Road, Aldershot, , has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Hampshire Police continue to appeal for witnesses.
