Man arrested after pedestrian seriously injured in Redhill collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision involving a van on Warwick Road yesterday afternoon (3 June).
A man has been arrested after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a collision involving a white Luton box van in Redhill.
Emergency services were called to Warwick Road shortly before 3pm on Wednesday, 3 June, following reports of a collision between the van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The van driver, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and remains in police custody.
Road closures were put in place on Warwick Road between the junctions of Gloucester Road and Carrington Place while officers carried out their investigation.
Surrey Police are now appealing for witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 2.30pm and 3pm.
Officers are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or helmet camera footage that captured all or part of the incident.
