A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an assault in Addlestone over the weekend.
Surrey Police say officers were called to Carlos Barber Shop on Garfield Road at the junction with Station Road just before 3.30pm on Sunday (27 April) to reports a man in his 30s had been assaulted.
The victim was taken to hospital with a stab wound.
A 22-year-old man of no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of offensive weapon. He has been remanded into custody.
Inspector David Richardson said: “We understand this is a distressing incident for the local community. Our officers are working hard to understand the full circumstances of what happened, and a man has been arrested in connection with our investigation. A knife has also been recovered near to the scene.
“Please speak to one of our officers if you have any concerns, or any information that could help our enquiries.”
