Four people have been injured, one of them seriously, in a crash involving two cars and a van on the M25 in Surrey.

Surrey Police said officers were called just after 8.30am on Friday 23rd October to the clockwise carriageway between J5 and J6, near Godstone.

Three people were taken to hospital.

Police said emergency service colleagues and National Highways also attended.

Two lanes have since reopened on the carriageway.

The force thanked members of the public who helped with first aid at the scene.

Police said enquiries are under way to understand the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to get in touch, along with anyone with dashcam or helmet footage.
