A man has been charged after officers found him with a machete and cannabis near Blackwater yesterday (16th November).

21-year-old Ibrahim Rashid has been charged with knife and drug offences after a stop and search.

He's due at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (17th November).

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight spokesperson said, "Officers noticed suspicious activity linked to an Alpha Romeo on the A331 near Farnborough at around 2am on 16th November.

"The car was stopped near Blackwater, and officers located a machete and cannabis following a search. All items were seized.

"Ibrahim Rashid, 21, of College Road, Sandhurst, has been charged with possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place and possessing a controlled drug of Class B."
