Three schools across Hampshire, including two in East Hampshire, are getting almost ten million pounds for crucial repairs.

Court Moor School in Fleet, Cove School in Farnborough, and a college in Waterlooville will collectively share a fund of £9.8 million aimed at improving the infrastructure of their educational facilities.

These schools are facing problems with their current buildings, which include temperature regulation issues, obsolete windows, and roofs in need of repair. Many of the existing structures date back to the 1970s and are in need of substantial improvement to meet modern standards.

The refurbishment plans include installing new windows and doors, enhancing insulation, upgrading roofs, and applying more energy-efficient lighting solutions. Specifically at Cove School, the work will also involve a modern heating and cooling system.

Additionally, Court Moor School's project budget has been increased from £3 million to £3.8 million to cover extra work identified during the planning, such as improving specialist classrooms, ventilation systems, and fire safety measures.

Refurbishment works at the schools are expected to begin in spring 2027, with the completion anticipated before the end of the same year. Throughout these upgrades, schools will maintain their operation by utilising temporary classrooms to avoid disruption to student learning.
