Gas supply back to normal for hundreds of Surrey homes
There was an outage in the Gomshall area on Monday (13 January)
A gas outage that hit hundreds of homes in a Surrey village is now over.
It happened in the Gomshall area on Sunday night and through Monday after a burst water main entered the network.
More than a 1,000 litres of water had to be removed from the pipework.
In a statement on their website SGN thanked people for their patience:
"Gas is now available to properties affected during this incident and we're reconnecting supplies in the local area.
"If a card has been left at your property, please call the contact number as soon as possible to rearrange a visit from one of our engineers.
"We're very grateful for your patience while we work to restore gas supplies."
