Garden fire causes damage to multiple houses and cars in Bordon
Firefighters tackle blaze as it spreads to five properties
A fire that began in a garden in Bordon resulted in damage to five houses and two vehicles over the weekend.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue were called out to Birch Road on Saturday afternoon (18 July).
Teams from Alton, Bordon, Petersfield, Rushmoor, and St Mary's deployed breathing apparatus, main jets, hose reel jets, and an aerial ladder platform to combat the blaze.
The 'stop message' indicating that the fire had been controlled was emitted shortly before 7pm.
No injuries were reported.
However, two pet dogs were rescued from the fire and were given oxygen therapy by firefighters, before being taken to a vet for further care.
The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault within a garden shed.
