Surrey police were made aware of a 'distressing' report of the death of four ducks, which are believed to have been catapulted in the Chobham area on Saturday, 23 August.

The force say 'it is an offence under the Wildlife & Countryside Act to kill or injure any wild birds without a specific license.'

They are thanking the local community for expressing their dismay and drawing their attention to this incident.

Adding they 'rely on information from the public to help us investigate offences such as these'.
