Five people charged with conspiracy to kidnap in Surrey

It follows an incident in Dorking last weekend

Five people have been charged with conspiracy to kidnap following an incident in Dorking.

It comes after a man was reportedly forced into a car by two men wearing balaclavas on Saturday (26 April).

The man was later found safely by officers. He was been taken to hospital for assessment but it's not believed he sustained life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation by the East Surrey and our Major Crime Team five people have been charged.

29 year old Reece Armstrong from Stanwell has been charged with conspiracy to kidnap, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

27 year old Tarelle Thompson from Croydon has been charged with conspiracy to kidnap and possession of an offensive weapon.

30 year old Levi Burton from Leatherhead has been charged with conspiracy to kidnap, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and assaulting an emergency worker.

All three have been remanded in custody and are due to appeared at Guildford Crown Court on the 29th of May.

20 year old Lorna Sawyer and 27 year old Leah Weston, both from Dorking, have been charged with conspiracy to kidnap and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

They have been remanded in custody until court appearances at Guildford Crown Court on the 6th of May and 29th May respectively.
