Investigation underway into man's death in Guildford crash

A 19-year-old man has died after being hit by a vehicle on the A3 in Guildford.

Emergency services were called to a section near the Wilderness Road junction at around 11.15pm last night (Friday 17th July 2026).

Surrey Police are appealing to the public for help in understanding the circumstances and are especially keen to identify the driver of a large white van that did not stop at the scene.

The road was closed for investigations but has since reopened.

Officers want to hear from anyone who was on the southbound A3 between 11.05pm and 11.15pm.
